Gili Meno, the middle island, has the smallest population- about 700. it is not as developed as Gili Trawangan or Gili Air, but has its own special tranquil style. The pace is much slower, with the laid back charm of a true castaway tropical island experience. it is also the quietest of the island, with the fewest tourists. There is a salt lake in the middle of the island which produces salt in the dry season . Small hotels and basic beach side huts provide accomodation for those seeking a peaceful place in the sun, with unpopulated beaches, clean waters and quiet walks under the starfilled skies at night.
